It's been a while

I've decided to welcome in the new year by starting yet another project I won't be able to finish. I call it a "prohibisphere gallery". One of my friends at my old job came up with the word "prohibishpere" to identify that circle-with-a-line-through-it thing which conveys the message that anything within the sphere is a "no" such as:

Let's detain him for questioning

Former Attorney General John Ashcroft's evangelical Christian crooning is available as MP3s on whitehouse.org. This is definitely something you'll want to back up to your Buffalo link station. (Courtesy of Planet Dan.

It's the most wonderful time of the year

This year's Law School exam season seems uneventful, perhaps because my G.P.A. and feelings of self-worth have been so destroyed by American Legal Education that I can't help but feel apathetic.

I've missed out on the holiday spirit these past two years - gently falling snow, the holly and the ivy, myrrh, frankincense, watching soccer moms transport their ugly fat children to the Towson Mall, celebrating the birth of the Prince of Peace by giving the finger to anyone who stands in the way of their Ford Expedition.

Anyway, I have to learn Evidence in about two days, not only because it makes Law & Order so much more meaningful, but because I have a MAJOR FRIGGIN TEST, so I'll be silent for a while, after which I plan to address many of the above hostilities I feel which seem to resurface during Christmas.

Check it out, by the way - there's a link to brinypickle on legal underground this week - very cool!

Pickle's Picks, December 3

There has been a call for all blogging lawyers (and note, I am not a layer yet) to band together and provide legal advice and assistance for other bloggers.

Also noteworthy is this article on how to write a good legal brief,
and Legal Underground has posted a link to a law firm gossip website; I always liked these things, especially when I was working in the corporate world.
